You can once you learn a few basic rules which I'll show you on this beginners' course.
Photos that are in focus and well composed will stop people scrolling on social media. They will also make your friends and family hand over their camera to you at family gatherings. You will become the go to 'official' family photographer.

Course outline
This is a hands-on, practical course for beginners of all ages. It's straight forward in simple language without the photography jargon. We will cover focus, framing, ISO, lighting and editing.
I've taught this course for years to teenagers in the deaf and hard of hearing community. I will guide you through the basics of photography through the lens of story. When your image is anchored in story it will have more power.

Whether you are using your phone camera or want to get out of Auto mode on your first DSLR, the principles of good photography are the same.
Come join us, you just might have a really snappy time! Sorry, I couldn't resist! But really, join me, it's fun and you will meet some lovely, like-minded people. ​

Course delivery
All the videos are captioned, transcribed and very easy to follow.
You don't have to be a teenager or D/deaf to enjoy this course just come with curiosity and passion.

Pauline is a graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and a six-time International Stevie® Awards winner for her business. In 2022 she won Education Hero of the Year in Asia Pacific, London and NYC for her online courses. She isn't just a teacher, she is a tour de force educator. She has been teaching students for over ten years, online and in locations around Australia. Her films have screened at Academy (Oscar) accredited film festivals globally.
